The Nemesis Practical Rifle Program
What is it? It's a simple shooting exercise that demonstrates basic battle-rifle competence,
(or a need for some training, practice and drill.)
We're sure most of you know someone who has (or would like to have) an "assault" rifle.
What these weapons really are is "battle rifles." There are many legitimate reasons why anyone might want one. We're not going to get into the "why" of the matter here. We'll just concentrate your attention on the subject of how to know when you've reached some level of genuine competence with your chosen rifle.
We ran this program locally for years and if you and/or your shooting buddies can achieve and maintain the skill levels outlined herein, you are competent with your rifle.
The flip-side is that if you cannot achieve and maintain any of these levels of qualification you can be sure that you are-not competent with that weapon and you need to get some real (correct) training and practice of correct shooting techniques to develop a solid shooting discipline. Just as in any military, "Marksman" is a bare-bones minimum level of competence in the basic use of a common battle rifle. (It's a fairly low bar to get over.)
The PDF-essay shown here >>> The Practical Deer Rifle...pdf <<< is the result of many such questions and the resulting conversations. Hey, the newbies have to start some place, right? It serves all our interests to help newbies become an effective part of us. Most of "We the People...." will easily understand this stuff. This is a fairly complete explanation so you'll know enough to handle questions from others who know even less than YOU do about this stuff.
This is a big file (a whole MegaByte) and might take a minute or two to load. It's okay to just download it to your computer so you can look it over as much or as often as you care to until you understand the whole subject. Once you understand you'll be on your way to becoming one of Us, (instead of remaining one of... them.)
